I read this book before giving it to my son for Father's Day; he now has a 2 yr old daughter. In my opinion, a MUST read for every father at any age. As I learned with my own father; it's never too late to change. But I must add that it also is a MUST read for every daughter, no matter age. I cried as I read through parts that explained why my father acted as he did at times. Dads, you must know the impact you have on your daughter, even if she is old and gray now. A wonderful and needed read for all!!!

I thought this book would be much more clinical in it's approach and with the tips and info shared (especially being authored by a Dr.) but from what I read through so far it feels more like a memoir on parenthood. not at all what I was looking for. If you are looking for more clinical material I would suggest referencing early education or child psychology text books. Not to say this is not a helpful book or that it is poorly written. In fact I can see this book helping a lot of people who may be struggling to be a better parent, which I suppose is the intended audience.

Irrespective of what kind of man you are (religious, non-religious, married, divorced, etc.) you will probably find something that resonates with you in this book. That being said, prospective readers should be aware that this book has a noticeable religious/feminist bent to it (red-pilled men out there will recognize the blue-pilled essence); there were several parts where I found myself thinking: "I've unplugged from the matrix and now see things for how they truly are, but this guy is still very much plugged in."

I'm about 3/4ths of the way through this book, and I have to tell you, this is an absolute must for every father with one or more daughters. Dr. Leman provides a lot of priceless insight into raising your daughter(s), no matter what age they are when you read this book. Mine is an adult now, and I think I've done a pretty good job, but there are still some things to learn from this book. I wish I had bought it years ago. Dads, you need this book.

I've seen my husband read a total of 3 books before...total. However he read this book cover to cover and couldn't put it down. He said it was eye opening and really helped try to establish better relationships with our 3 daughters. Highly recommend for any dad.

I have 2 daughters and I wish I'd read this book before I did. One of my girls turned 16 yesterday & my other daughter will be 12 next month. Dr. Leman shares many helpful tips he's learned raising his children.I recommend this book to every father but I highly recommend it to fathers of girls. Reading this and following his advice will lead to a more solid daddy-daughter relationship.

This book changed my life. Pick this up if u want to be a better influence and male or female role model for your child.

So practical and doable and so many possibilities to influence with examples included. Have never been disappointed in K Leman! Bought for my son and son-in-law, dads to my granddaughters. Read it before giving to them. Oh what insights!
